We are a family of believers in Jesus who come from a variety of backgrounds. Our stories are different.

In fact, two congregations of the Churches of Christ in Cleburne (Westside and Central) merged to become the Westhill Church of Christ back in 2005 (see below for more of Westhill’s extended history).

What has brought us together, with all of our differences, is our common faith that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:5-11)! Because of our common faith in Jesus, the risen and coming king, “we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body” (1 Corinthians 12:13). We now look forward, focusing on the future, prayerfully ready to explore the many ways we can fulfill our mission: Love God. Love others. Serve both.

At Westhill, we seek to give grace to one another and to others as we have received it freely from our God, forgiving one another and loving one another as imperfect people in whom God is at work (Colossians 3:12-14; Philippians 1:6). Someone once said that every family needs amazing grace, and it is true for every church family also. We "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:3) as God leads us on the journey from where we are to where we can go, following Jesus (John 8:12). We seek a deeper relationship with God and with one another as we grow together.

We welcome others to be a part of our church family, very grateful that God has welcomed us to be reconciled to him and to one another, making us new through Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:16-21).
